Musical Couches →
There’s this idea I’ve been rolling around for the last couple weeks that seems like it would have a lot more potential if it wasn’t just rolling around in my head. CouchDB has interested me for…

Moving
What country can I move to that has the least idiots in charge? (this has nothing to do with the recently passed Health Care Reform) When I was in Europe everywhere used chip-and-pin cards, most of the time they were able to swipe my card and take my signature but occasionally they weren’t. The NYTimes has a good article about it. I don’t know much about Smart Card technology but...

Data Shows Horrifying Bank Of America Refinance... →
It’s stories like these that remind me it’s not a massive global conspiracy. That would imply intelligence. Or they do this to make us think it’s not a conspiracy…

Fox News isn't even trying anymore. →
Using video from one rally to make another rally look more successful than it is?  I’m pretty sure the “fair and balanced” pretense is completely abandoned at this point.  Anyone who thinks Fox news doesn’t have a very specific agenda is just lying to themselves at this point.

How To Do What You Love →
I was linked to this old Paul Graham essay about loving what you do and found it quite thought provoking. A Quote: It used to perplex me when I read about people who liked what they did so much that there was nothing they’d rather do. There didn’t seem to be any sort of work I liked that much. If I had a choice of (a) spending the next hour working on something or (b) be teleported...
